Our work has now attracted the attention of another BID, this time in Mansfield.
We are already well established in the West Midlands, powering the Sutton Card run by the Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID to promote its high street and traders to local visitors.
Mansfield Business Improvement District is into its second term, having been reelected last year in a ballot of 520 levy-paying town centre businesses.
The BID has been impressive in its first term, promoting the town ' traders with its 5,000 strong I Love Mansfield card and claims to have been the first town to install free Wi-Fi beacons.
We are now planning, with the BID, to power a new version of its popular Mansfield card. We will link its retailers' offers with the Rewarding Visits app so it displays the Mansfield card image when used inside the town's boundaries.
The most exciting opportunity is to install some of our new Combi-Touchpoints across the town in high footfall locations such as the shopping centre, bus station, post office and college.
Any user of a Mansfield card will be able to see deals on offer and print off vouchers to use in over 80 places in town.
The existing Mansfield card, and the new version, have an embedded NFC contactless chip inside which makes it effortless to check out the offers available.
This week we carried out a survey of the volunteer Touchpoint locations. We will keep you posted on how the project progresses.
